I have a beautiful Victorian top hat that is adorned with a trade silver brooch and parrot feathers. Using a germantown dazzler sampler as a backdrop and two small Hopi vases flanking the hat, I had fun with the vivid colors of the parrot feathers and the earthy tones of the Hopi vases. Those same vivid colors are present in the beadwork of the fringe bag in the corner. The hat also features a coral stick pin that is suggested in the painting.
