Coral ladder style vintage earrings worn with a T.Skeets Broken Arrow turquoise necklace. I am a big fan of red and green, complimentary colors that always work together in an attractive way.
The coral earrings are Zuni made with deep tomato red color. Zuni jewelry is best known for intricate stone work. These earrings are circa 1960. The button top with coral cabochon is a later addition.
The necklace features beautiful green Broken Arrow turquoise stones. The Broken Arrow mine is located in the Candelaria Mining District of Nevada. The mine is a source of turquoise and also produces Variscite. The two stones are similar. Variscite is a brighter green and has less matrix that Broke Arrow turquoise. This necklace displays some orange matrix.
The two pieces are especially flattering when worn together.
